Epoxy Resin Flooring

The benefits are your advantage

Respol is one of the UK’s leading specialists in epoxy resin flooring. This versatile, hardwearing and durable floo ring outperforms all types of floor paint and represents a high-performance solution to all your industrial or commercial flooring needs.

The benefits of epoxy resin flooring

In recognising the number of floor paints and coatings available today, many of them applicable without specialist skills, you may think that an epoxy resin floor is an unnecessary indulgence. However, when it comes to factory floors, outdoor car parks, hospitals and warehouses, to name a few, an epoxy resin floor gives you more ‘bang for your buck’ given the heavy-duty traffic, footfall and load-bearing demands placed on it.

Heavy plant, spills from water, chemicals or oils, and fluctuating temperatures from ovens or the great British weather all take their toll on your floor. The resulting cracks will allow water and chemical ingress that could cause further damage over time.

This is why the experts at Respol believe that the benefits of an epoxy resin floor are your advantage.

Unboring flooring

Depending on the expanse of the floor, installing an epoxy resin floor means you’ll need to shut down for a few days. Unlike its more expensive cousin, MMA flooring, which can be installed piecemeal, or the cheap and cheerful paint job which dries in hours, an epoxy resin floor will need extensive preparation and enough time to cure fully.

There is no generic choice or price of any epoxy resin floor; they are all custom created to suit your needs.

With the cons out of the way, let’s look at the pros:

Brandable, customisable, highly aesthetic

If you want your floor to reflect your brand identity and colour palette, an epoxy resin floor can match your aesthetic standards perfectly. Any RAL, Pantone or BS4800 reference can be incorporated into your floor and not just as a single, solid colour. Likewise, if you need signage, health and safety markings or a logo on your floor, that can be accommodated too. Decorative aggregates, PVA colour flakes, metallic epoxy, and gloss finishes are also available for a unique finish.

Bonded is better

An epoxy resin floor can be applied to nearly any concrete floor. Instead of a superficial covering, a concrete floor will be prepared correctly and then the chosen finishing system installed, which may include a primer which bonds with the concrete. The epoxy resin is then mixed with a polyamine hardener before our specialist team installs your chosen system. Once fully cured, your new floor is ready to withstand all the challenges you’ve prepared it for years to come!

Fit for purpose

Arguably one of the most significant selling points of any epoxy resin floor is its ability to suit particular industries’ exacting and nuanced needs. By adding bespoke elements to the resin or top layer, your floor can be:

  • Anti-slip
  • Anti-microbial
  • Waterproof
  • Resistant to chemicals, oils, grease and water
  • Anti-static
  • UV stable
